Bleaching

At our office we use the Zoom!® System which is a one-hour, one appointment treatment for in-office whitening for patients wanting immediate results.

We also offer custom bleaching trays and bleaching gel to touch up and keep your teeth as white as they can be.

Cleaning & Prevention

They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Dr. Dulac is a strong advocate of patient education and preventive dentistry. Patients who come in for regular cleanings spend far less money on their teeth in the long run than those who do not get regular cleanings and check-ups.

We offer an array of routine preventive services in addition to cleanings to including exams and X-rays to catch problems early. Oral cancer screenings, which are always included in every exam Dr. Dulac performs oral hygiene instruction on how to brush and floss, sealants, which have been shown to reduce decay, and fluoride treatments. Dr. Dulac recommends a fluoride varnish for most patients after dental cleanings to reduce decay risk and help protect the teeth.

The health of your mouth is vital to the health of your entire body. Gum disease has been linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, low birth weight and other health problems including erectile dysfunction in men and pancreatic cancer. You can keep your teeth healthy by brushing and flossing every day as well as getting regular dental exams. Dr. Dulac recommends electric toothbrushes to his patients. Sonicare is the brand Dr. Dulac recommends, and we do offer them through the office.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns are used to strengthen and improve the shape, size or color of teeth. They can support broken or weak teeth or those with large fillings. They are utilized when a tooth can no longer be filled. Dr. Dulac is able to provide same-day crowns utilizing the CEREC technology. For more details please see the page on CEREC or CAD/CAM crowns.

Bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements which help maintain facial structure, reduce stress on the jaw and fill in the gaps caused by missing teeth. Fixed bridges are cemented to the existing teeth and do not come out. With the evolution of dental implants, implants are considered the standard of care for replacing missing teeth. However, not all patients are candidates for implants. If you have insufficient bone, a bridge might be the best option. Additionally, bridges can be fabricated more quickly than implants can be placed, and the initial cost of a bridge is sometimes cheaper than an implant. For many patients, bridges are still the best option for replacing missing teeth.

White Composite Fillings

Unsightly metal fillings can make an otherwise beautiful teeth look unattractive. Now fillings are specially designed to match the natural color of the tooth. Directly-bonded, tooth-colored resin fillings can make a tooth look like new, whether they are used for small areas of decay or to replace defective older fillings. At Dulac Dental of Springfield, we use only tooth-colored fillings.

Inlays and Onlays

In addition to crowns and fillings, we’re also able to offer inlays and onlays. Inlays and onlays ore the size and shape of fillings but are porcelain restorations, made out of the ceramic material that crowns are made out of, and last much longer than fillings. They’re more conservative than a crown, and longer lasting than a filling. The CEREC technology makes these a great option for our patients.
